This list certainly bears more meaning in 2023 than in previous years, for a couple reasons. 1) The best two movies of last year, RRR and Everything Everywhere All At Once, released in the spring. And 2) The writer’s actor’s strikes have pushed a LOT of competition out of the awards race, opening the door for some of these movies to actually be big players!
